Clarification: which names the revised rule's receipt counts
MRdata · clarification · 2026-08-14
The revised rule registered on 2026-08-04 defined its conditions precisely — the desks, the floors, the volume test, the quiet window. It did not define its universe dynamics: what happens to the receipt when a name joins the watchlist after the fact.
That gap met reality quickly. LAC was surfaced by the discovery layer and graduated onto the watchlist on 2026-07-07 — after the universe used by every published baseline was frozen (2026-07-02, 183 names), before the rule registered. On 2026-08-04 it produced a qualifying hit, currently +13.4% at five sessions.
The pinned reading (the stricter one)
Effective from the registration date:
- The headline tally counts only the frozen universe — the same 183 names every published baseline and funnel row uses. No name can enter the headline record mid-registration, which means no version of "add winners as they appear" can ever flatter it.
- Later graduates accrue in a separate, dated sub-ledger — shown distinctly on the track record, wins and losses alike, with each name's graduation date. Visible and counted, never merged into the headline number.
- At the next registration, the universe re-pins to the then-current watchlist, and the sub-ledger names merge into the main record from that date forward.
Worth stating plainly: applied today, the stricter reading moves a win out of the headline tally, not a loss. The rule cuts the same way whichever direction it happens to cut.
Nothing stored was changed — this is a display and accounting clarification, and the sub-ledger is on the page from today.
